About

'Design of Assistive Technology: Principles and Praxis' is a graduate course offered through the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy and Biomedical Engineering at McGill University.  Interdisciplinary teams of students work closely with a person with a disability in the Montreal area to design a device, piece of equipment, app or other solution that reduces their client's experience of disability.

This site showcases the products developed by each of the design teams and their clients.

The solutions are open-source. You will find schematics, code, final designs and instructables associated with each product.  We hope that these will help and inspire you to design or customized an assistive technology of your own!
